I'm surprised more people aren't putting out color card decks! it's very important when working with chakras. the deck goes beyond the usual colors and has gold and silver and pearl and even darker, muddy colors like burgundy and auburn. And there is a rainbow card and a chocolate card and a brilliance card with a waterfall. All of the card photos are beautiful and convey the meaning of the color - like auburn has trees for grounding, black is sort of a haunted, twisted tree, and green is healthy-looking leaves. I don't use the cards for readings, but I choose a card to display depending on my mood or which color I think I need more of.

I love this deck and the accompanying book! I know I was worried about the quality of the cards because I read comments about how thin they are. However, I don't find it to be a problem at all and definitely don't see that as a reason to pass up this deck. I love how big the cards are! The color quality of the cards is also wonderful!

I want to echo the enthusiasm regarding this great card deck and book. I use it daily and it has had a wonderful impact on my life. I recently shared it with my Women's Group and everyone loved it as well.Being curious and based on the 1 star rating for the American deck, I ordered both the Austraiian and American deck. While I do agree that the card stock for the Australian deck is nicer, I find the color much better in the American deck and since color is the key factor here, I would recommend the American deck.

Great cards! Used on chakra readings and they added depth to the reading. They're neat! After reading the reviews I expected them to be paper thin but they aren't. They are thinner than regular stiff oracle cards but more like the thickness of standard playing cards. These are absolutely not paper thin. They are a nice large size too. Buy them! They are very healing!

As a visual person and an artist I am in tune with colors- the thing that I love the most is the psychology surrounding each colr to a physical meaning/emotion that a clear and affirming direction or focus on the color, emotional work and spiritual beliefs (chakra) working together as simple signs- creative work- wardrobe choices- color therapy by just viewing the card(s)...

Love, Love, Love these cards. They fit right into what I will use them for. Truth is that they are thin like everyone else is sayin gbut come on, they are not junk and when they begin wearing on the edges just look at them as if they are well used. Which is what they will be if you are using them. I purchased them knowing this so I am not disappointed.

Love these cards ... bought more to give as gifts for friends who love color too. Great for meditation, for artsy people who want to play with palettes. Fun to explore the mood and vibration of color.

I am so glad this story has finally got a kindle edition. I love this story set in Wales and all the amazing sights that play into the story line. A dream trip for Megan and Fran changes to danger and intrigue. At first Megan doesn't know who to trust. Then it is a race to find out what is really going on. I have read this multiple times.

This Book would appeal to both men and women. While it is told from the the point of view of the women in the story, it has enough action and intrigue that I think it would appeal to anyone. It is definitely targeted to a Latter-day Saint audience, but it is a well-crafted story that anyone would enjoy. Two women on a vacation abroad where they hope to visit historical sites, and also see some art work, and art history, meet two other Americans abroad at a meal in the hotel they are staying at. The two men are diametrically opposed, and their gradual uncovering of what connects the two men, and the mystery surrounding both of them is a well crafted, exciting story. There is a bit of romance, but well done, and very clean read. The political climate that is described, and the political incident were believable, and I loved the description at the end of the story of how the press moved to a different incident when something more exciting came along! Ms. Bessey created a fun, action packed, intense story that was hard to put down.

In each book, Claude and Sir Bobblysock take off on adventures. One day they go to the library, where they visit Miss Hush, the librarian, who has to remind Claude to use his "nice Indoor voice." Claude is in for a real adventure when he experiences snow for the first time, and winds up at a winter sports center, where he experiences snowball fights, sledding, and snow sculpture and skiing. When he forgets he's not supposed to use his loud outdoor voice out in the snow and accidentally triggers an avalanche, his magic beret, which seems to hold everything you can need, helps Claude save the day.This beginning reader is perfect for fans of gentle humor such as Poppleton by Cynthia Rylant or the Amanda pig series by Jean van Leeuwen. The cartoon-style artwork, done in black, white, grey and red, adds to the humor of the stories. As is typical with beginning readers, the author uses a format of brief chapters which can be read independently if a child is not yet ready to read the entire book at one sitting. The book would also make an amusing read-aloud, although the small size of the volume make it better suited for reading with a small group than a classroom.

On the child's side, Claude is an adventurous dog who wears a magic beret. This nifty beret left me in fits, reminding me of Mary Poppins carpet bag. What fun for a child's imagination? So great. The book is done in a black, white and red color scheme that works. Somehow the author/illustrator is able to capture the perfect expressions on the character's faces, especially Claude's smug looks. The author's European roots shine through as Claude loves his tea and fashion. Claude dazzles wherever he goes and learns all about the many things that can be done with snow.As an adult this book cracked me up. There are so many inside jokes that had me snorting. I really liked the fact the Sir Bobblysock had a bunion. I could read this book over and over to my kids. 4 stars for Claude!

Omg! Could this series get any better? This book just proves over and over what an incredibly talented author A.M. Snead/C.J. Bishop is. Her world building is so "real" that you swear you could walk out your front door and you'd be right there, and the large cast of characters that she creates are so multifaceted, so real ... I honestly don't know how she does it. But thank goodness she does!This book continues the story of Clint "The Cowboy" and Cochise and their respective newly formed families. There is humor and heartbreak and so much heat you might want to read with a box of tissues and a fire extinguisher. In this volume we see more vulnerabilities with our two "heroes" and we also see just how great the power of love can really be.I don't want to say too much and spoil things but I will say that this book deserves 10 stars and is in a class all its own (with the previous books, that is). This series is one I will read over and over again and never get tired of. Truly a work of art in word form!

First, let me say that I have read all of the Gangster Cowboy and Phoenix series of stories. I love the characters that C J Bishop has created (although some are so similar that it is difficult to keep them separated) and the stories are woven in an engrossing and seductive way - a master storyteller! The books are lengthy, so it gives the author plenty of time to fully develop a plot and gives the reader plenty of time to develop an interest in it. The novels are difficult to put down and often find myself reading them in one sitting - hours of reading until finished! THAT BEING SAID, I have a few bones to pick with the author. First, while I am sure that a proofreading tool was used such as Spellcheck, there were many grammatical mistakes such as sentence fragments and omitted connective words - such as "to", "and", "the" - that probably would have been detected by having an actual person read the story before it was published. If a real person was hired to read the book first, then they should be fired. These types of errors cause the reader to stop and try to ascertain what the author was trying to relate to the reader, and it disrupts the flow of the story. Another peeve of mine is not that the author crams so much activity into the lives of her characters, but rather that it is impossible that these stories could take place in such a brief period of time. People meet, develop feelings for each other, move in together, get married, foster/adopt children, take vacations, rescue loved ones/abused children from the dark, nefarious underbelly of society all in the space of a year! (In this book, Axel responds to an inquiry as to how long the Cowboy and he had been together and he responds that they met "a year ago!" Really?? They met, developed feelings for each other which evolved into love, Axel was kidnapped and abused almost to death, recovered, took months of martial arts training from Cory, battled bad guys to save his Cowboy, moved into a new home, had housewarming parties, decided to bring a foster child into their lives AND a take on a newborn baby ALL IN A YEAR????????????) As you're reading these stories, you feel as though they are taking place over weeks or months at a time when they are actually taking place over the span of a few days. It's totally unbelievable. In this story, Cowboy and Axel bring Luke - an abused foster child -into their home without knowing him very well at all and within 24 hours he's fully adjusted to his new home and happy as a clam. OH, they also brought a newborn home the very next day. Luke loves the baby and his new daddies and everyone has settled into complete domesticity within 48 hours. These adjustments/feelings/emotions take time to develop, yet C J Bishop crams it all into a few days. As much as I love this author, I get so ticked at issues like this. I would still recommend this book. Maybe you won't be as demanding of credibility as I am.

What can be said about CJ? She hits it out of the park every single time. I love how you get multiple stories in every book. You got a story about Clint and Axel, Kane and Cochise, John and Donald, and Frank and Wil. We are also seeing Zoe venture out into dating for the first time. CJ's books are so full and rich that you feel like you are a part of their amazing and boisterous family. I can't wait for the next book!!

Since the book is filled with many stories that can easily be spoiled in an review Im writing a short review that's none spoiler free!CJ Bishop is back with a new book in the Cowboy Gangster series! The story continues where the last book ended in the series! Clint and Cochise is trying to settling down into a normal life outside of the mob life for the sake of their loved ones. With the treath of a new mob on the rise we follow them all when new challenges is on the horizon for them all. In this book we get to follow some of the children that Clint and Cochise rescued in the last book as they slowly recover from the horrors they went through as they all tries to move on and build new life's. Will the former gangsters manage to settle down or will they be dragged down into the life they been slowly getting out of?As always CJ Bishops stories is such an amazing and thrilling read that's so worth reading!

Nothing like one bad boy Cowboy with a penchant for taking care of those he loves! And let me tell ya, this Cowboy loves hard! In reading the previous Book I wondered how things would go. This book answers many questions from The Innocent, but of course leaves you with a few new questions.Oh and if your wondering how the very quiet partner, Cochise fairs, you get some answers here as well.Very well written and follows the timeline of past events extremely well. This book is not a stand alone and you should read The Innocent first. A word to the wise, start with the Phoenix Club series, it's where the Cowboy is truly introduced and following his journey is a tale of true love and struggle.

This book was a automatic 1 click buy for me. I read this book as part of an arc group,and the author held back the last few chapters now I understand why.This story is best read in the order of the series. I personally love this author and highly recommend the whole series.This continues the story of the Cowboy and Axel and the rest of the extended " family ". I don't want to give anything away just be warned tissues will be needed.

This book is incredible. You get everything you could possibly want and more. From sexy, to romantic , to cute and suspense. There is so much I want to say but I know I would just give to much away. You need to buy this ASAP and read it. Our Cowboy and Egyptian and the gang excel in this. It leaves you wanting more and more and more.

The best detailed book and diet. I started in mid-September and I lost 50 pounds in two months byThanksgiving! I am not exaggerating or lying, I have the pictures to prove it. I went at two weeks segments while following it. When I started, which I will admit, like any other diet, was difficult because you are changing your habits and following a curtailed diet and formula. You just have to be easy on yourself. By the next morning I lost two pounds. I made it nine days and lost 17 pounds! Then went off for a couple of days but still followed the book and went back on the diet, going back and forth losing weight at an even clip. The book explains everything before, during and after, with the author's story, who discovered and went through the exact same thing as you will or do. By Christmas I lost 60 pounds! That's three months. I would go off the diet when there was an event, like Thanksgiving,Christmas and New Year then go back and forth around the events. The purpose for any diet was for my daughter's wedding that coming June. I wanted to be slimmer, especially since pictures would be taken. By June I lost 80 pounds. I did not rush or worry about any crash to lose the weight, I took my time and surprisingly lost the weight rapidly. I got the hang of it and lost the most weight. It is amazing what your own body does when it gets a little help. The first thing you will notice, other than losing pounds, is "you are not hungry" once you get past the inital stage of the diet. Sleeping well and the natural energy will happen almost instant. Just remember, your mind will trick you into giving up and getting you to think this is for you, that is all of the junk luggage and sugar your body is holding. Again a great book and eating change.

My doctor recommend I use this book and I was pretty disappointed. It doesn't have a real clear diet plan and not many recipes. It has a ton of personal stories in it that I don't care about....I just want the diet plan and tips to stick to it. I only lasted one day doing the juices before I had to add some protein to it because you don't get any with what they have you do. I ate some eggs and nuts and I would cook some of the veggies instead of juicing them. I did it for seven days and loss seven pounds!

Great detox but best if you read the book first. While I am doing it for the 3rd time, each time I've done it I have had to read the book again. I agree with some of the reviews that it talks a lot about the testimony of others but for me that is paramount in making a connection for why I'm doing it. I find the testimonials to be helpful additionally because you learn that people approach it differently so when I do my rendition (though I try to do it as prescribed), I know it is okay. It helps me make it through.The biggest tip I have is to read the book first, before actually doing the detox. It helps solidify your resolve during those times, and it will happen, where you want to give up. If you make it through your program (whether 7, 14 or 21 days) you will feel and look great and be more apt to eat more healthy going forward.

Don't be fooled by the title. This is not a fad diet. This is one of the best concise and yet comprehensive guides to restructure your eating lifestyle to an alkaline diet for better overall health and wellness. I buy these books as presents for my friend to get them off of the SAD lifestyle. Following these principles can change your life.

I did this cleanse because a friend of mine recommended it and it is one of the best things I've ever done for my body. I did it for 15 days, and yes, I lost 15lbs, but more importantly than the weight I lost my body felt the best it has possibly ever felt.I've read some of the other reviews, people said it was disgusting or they were hungry all the time, and I should say that I did not follow the regimen to the letter. I bought Naked Juice instead of Martha's Vineyard's juices, I used supplements that I liked, I did a Yogic intestinal wash (Laghoo shankhaprakshalana) instead of enemas, I added a pinch of salt to soups I made that were too bitter, and I ate soups at restaurants when I went out with friends. I think in order to keep from failing you have to allow yourself some wiggle room. The end result was amazing ... my friends all said my skin was glowing, my mood improved, my energy level increased, I wanted to exercise, and I felt fantastic in my body. And when I did start eating again, everything tasted SOOO GOOD! I enjoyed food on a level I never knew was possible.If I'd followed the cleanse exactly my results could only have been better, but the way I followed it I didn't get hungry, I didn't feel deprived, it wasn't disgusting, and I still got all the benefits. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to improve their health, and the bonus is you'll get an improved relationship with your body and with food.

I was actually expecting to get a diet plan and recipes for green smoothies or juices, but not so. If you're expecting to learn why you need to detox, then this is book, but if you're expecting a plan of how to go about it, then this is not the book for you.

I do not like the size of this book. The print is way too small. I can't even read it with reading glasses on. I am not happy with this book. I had this book years ago and I enjoyed it. It was very helpful. This book, (not the book itself) is of no use to me, but is not worth making the trip to UPS to return it. Customers should be made aware of the tiny print before they order it. The content of the book is excellent, it's the reproduction that is terrible. (The size of the print)

Good book, but....Unless I missed some pages, there were very few recipes to go along with the author's menu suggestions. This is because you have to pay a couple hundred dollars for the foods recommended. Boooo

Anyone who's sailed off shore has had his share of close calls.... this book is a must read for anyone who intends to sail thru the Bahama's and into the Exuma's.... GPS longitude and latitudes, maps, course headings, safe anchorages, rocks, sandbars, areas to avoid, restaurants, sites to see, sailing strategies, where to get water, great places to snorkel... all this valuable and life saving knowledge is in this book.

even if you don't get there, get this book! very informative, great photos and charts. lots of useful info. i would not go there without this book and i have had quite a few bahamas' guide books. you should also get pavlidis' latest guides to the northern and southern bahamas as well. worth every penny!

There is a lot of good info on this book, however, there is a lot of outdated info as well. This leaves the reader having to decide what is valid or not. I still recommend it, but not as an authority on the area. Make sure you get the Explorer Charts to use as the authority on the area.

Looks like a great guide with lots of detail like approaches, GPS coordinates, and local info. I'll update my review when I go to the Exumas this winter.

This guide is a wonderful overview of the Islands and towns within them. It serves as a fantastically accurate guide, but also as a reference for any trip you may have taken and want to preserve the memories with pictures and video.

Very useful and detailed. I've used the Yachtsman's guide in the past but Pavlidis has much more information on the Exumas

Update of previous edition. Invaluable for cruising Exumas. Just what we expected. Arrived when promised in perfect condition.Current edition of book is hard to find elsewhere but not here.

Sweet wonderful book for any child

My little son, 9 years old, was being a little self depreciating. I don't understand where these thoughts come from. After hearing him talk badly about himself, I saw a little pattern developing and I had to squish it. I bought these books to let him know how very important and special he is to his Daddy and I.I caught him reading them with little tears in his eyes, running down his cheeks. He told me they were just happiest tears.Get these for your children. They say often what we can't.

This is one of the most beautiful children's books I've ever read. This past week, while my daughter and I were walking through the gift shop of the hospital my son was having his procedure in waiting for him to come out, I found a cloth version and a giraffe stuffed animal meant to match with it. I purchased them, because even the condensed version in the cloth book brought tears to my eyes, it so matches the deep feelings of a mother's heart.I told my daughter, even though I am giving this to him, because really, it's a book meant for a baby or a toddler, and you're not that, these are the words I feel about you too. And when I got home I decided to check Amazon to see if there was a board book version. I didn't mind buying him the cloth version, because to be honest, because of his particular cocktail of medical challenges, he's going to chew on it anyways, and the cloth one will undoubtedly survive that better. But I wanted any expanded version that existed, and I'm glad that I did.It is simple, eloquent, lovely beyond expression, and profound in it's expressions of a parent's love. It is how I feel about my little ones every second of the day, even though they are not exactly little, her because of age, him because his genetics just call for size. This is a deeply moving and beautiful book.

I absolutely adore this book. I have a hard time swallowing the lump I get in my throat when I read it to my 2 year old. I had my daughter when I was 45, and deep down I know that I won't be around for her for as long as I'd like. I want her to grow up knowing that she can carry my love with her even when I'm not there in person. Nancy Tillman surely understands the tenderness of a mother's heart. I started buying this book and "The Crown on Your Head", for friends having babies. Wouldn't it be wonderful for every child to grow up knowing how important and loved they are?

I love Nancy Tillman books! I have bought books for each of my 5 grandchildren from the time they were born. I did the same for my now grown up boys. I believe in reading to your baby from the start. By the time they are toddlers, most children will know the words by heart. These books also hold up so well, they can be passed down or regifted later to other new parents. The story lines are so simple but loving. It makes me want to read them over and over, even when the kids are not with me. I think my favorite is "On the Night You Were Born. Or maybe, "Giraffes Can't dance". Or maybe, "Wherever You Are". All of her books are excellent and you or the parent you give these too for their baby will love them as much as I do.

ALL of Nancy Tillman's books are amazing. This one, however, is my favorite. We received it as a gift which sat on our bookshelf for some time until my daughter became interested in me reading to her. The first time I read this to her I had to hold it together to finish reading. The words are beautiful and convey exactly how I feel. I also love that I was reminded that God's love is like that too, it's with us wherever we go. I love it so much that I now include this book in my gift to any new mama I know.

I love this author and I love this book! I have gifted this book to both of my adult daughters at different points in their lives, for different reasons. To let them know my love follows them wherever they go, beautiful words, beautiful illustrations! The first time I read this book it brought tears to my eyes in the bookstore. It had the same effect on my girls, it touches your soul. I love children's books, I have worked with children all my life, this is a special book.

My 2 year old daughter loves this book and the other Tumford the Terrible book. She laughs out loud at all of the silly things this naughty cat does throughout the book. It's a current favorite and very different from what Nancy usually writes (we have all of those books too), but it's a nice departure. The other books are sweet and have a christian sort of undertone to them, but these are comical and cute. I think it's nice to not have just one type of book for kids. A little variety is good for them.

I'm going to repeat what has been said many times but it's true! This book perfectly sums up what I want my daughter to know without question: I have never ending love for her. It's written beautifully and the illustrations are perfect. I love this book.

I purchased this book as a supplement to teaching Story of the World vol. 1 and the first 3 topics of Learning Adventures (A World of Adventure). This book deals exclusively with Ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome. It is like a Barron's travel guide but written for a younger reader; probably 7 and up. There are all sorts of tips about food, lodging, local sites, etc., but all written for ancient times. It is such a humorous book! My 9 year old hasn't put it down since it came in the mail the other day. There are all sorts of colorful illustrations to engage the reader and it is very easy to read aloud from this book or to assign a certain topic for your child to read over. The table of contents is well outlined and everything is easy to find. This book makes history fun and brings new life to some dry aspects of ancient history. Your child will feel as if they have actually seen the sites, eaten the food, and dressed and lived with the peoples of those times. The pull out maps are labeled very well and are easy to understand. Overall, this is a wonderful purchase and I hope they have guides covering the other cultures of ancient times.

My children are homeschooled and studying ancient times. They all have loved this book. They are in grades 7 and 4.

Today's online environment is just plain scary. Excellent book for pre-teens & teens to read with parents. Yet another great book from Hal and Melanie (Young Raising Real Men). We have learned so much from their literature and enjoyed hearing them speak in person. This book should be mandatory for all sex education classes in the USA! We would have many less broken hearted pre-teens and teens if parents and grandparents had read this book and passed it on to their children/grandchildren.
