The author of this book desperately needs an editor. Though spellcheck can check for misspelled words, phrases such as "well the player does..." are going to slip under the radar. The word is "while" by the way. There are too many of these types of errors to count.

This book doesn't actually show you how to play Dungeons and Dragons. There is a lot of personal history of the author and how he played, but don't expect to actually know how to play DnD after reading this. I thought this book would be a little more accessible (more step-by-step) than DnD books. Instead, the first chapter tells you to go and buy an ACTUAL Dungeons and Dragons book?!?!

I wouldn’t recommend buying this if typos bother you.Some of the typos are rather funny though. At least the author should change incest hive to insect hive in the monster chapter. Otherwise it’s a whole new level to the standard DnD game...

Some decent ideas, but needs updates for 5th edition. Needs some careful proofreading and editing as well. Picture used for early editions should be more accurate. The one used is the box for 4th edition.

It doesn't tell you how to use the dice which is why I bought it in the first place.

It helped for the moments of doubting myself being a newbie

Useful for former editions of the game.

Perfect book for those just starting. Easy to read and understand for the those who are younger. I hughly recommend it.

Okay so for how little I paid for this volume I got basically a brand new book. There was no damage to it no stickers I had to peel off, and it came two days ahead of schedule. I am very happy with this purchase and can't wait to save up to get the next couple volumes.

First I want to say what a beautiful book! It was setting out when my 13 year old daughter’s best friend noticed it, immediately picked it up and mentioned what a pretty book! (Mission accomplished.) And this is one book that can be judged by its cover. It’s even more beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. Beloved 365 Devotions for Young Women is a blessing for the upcoming generation of girls.The daily devotions begin with the first 6 days specifically affirming girls’ eternal value through biblical truths. Then, beginning with day 7, the focus shifts into Genesis looking at the first woman, Eve. The devotions progress generally in chronological order through the Bible, focusing on the roles and influence specific women had throughout biblical history.Ms Franklin speaks toward younger women, using familiar language, and engaging them thoughtfully. The writing is concise, easy to read and understand. There is a subtle focus on the women’s perspectives within each story, transitioning with natural progression from one storyline to the next. Each day is tied to the next with explanations of events happening around the key verses so the reader stays connected. It feels like a continual reading, not disjointed as some devotional collections tend toward.Recommended: Absolutely! I loved reading this book. This beautiful Beloved devotional book from Zondervan that I was blessed to review is covered in flowers and I am so in love with it! Well, Ana actually helped me review this one because it says “for young women” and I’m not all sure that I fit into that category anymore. BUT, you can still totally use this too if you want. It’s so lovely that I would use it just because I enjoyed looking at it.This devotional book is for year round use. No excuses, just one page a day, no more than a 5-10 minute moment in your day. This book pours into everything that it means to be a woman of God. Oh how much I enjoyed being reminded over and over again that He loved me for who I am. That He created women for a purpose, not as an afterthought or as a convenience, like the world would like us to believe. THIS is why He created us – “We’re His daughters. Valued. Adored. Cherished. Beloved.” Yesssssssss! As I passed this along to Ana for her to use and look over I was so very pleased to know that there was so much goodness coming from this devotional. Nowhere did I comments that put down women, that discouraged women to be anything other than God designed and created us for. Such much worldly garbage would have young women to believe that we ARE what the world says we are. But This incredible devotional puts women back where they belong, in God’s hands and so very preciously held.The DesignI love the hardcover design because honestly I am pretty rough on books. A hardcover means it will stay a whole lot nicer over the years, at least in my house.
